1 mil = 0.0254 millimeter. 2.6 mil = 0.066mm. 1mm thick tape would be insane (yes, I know that's what the Amazon listing says, but it is just that billionaire Bezos tiring to trick you out of your last few $$).
These are useful but I hate how you're left with a useless hunk of plastic afterward after not that much use
The heavy duty type is thicker and stickier, but I use both frequently and sure-start works just fine for most shipping/packaging. I'd use heavy duty to build moving boxes, but this kind works fine for just about everything else.

Thanks. It's good to get these on sale as they're usually about $11.

The page says Item "Thickness 1 Millimeters" which is about as low as you can go. The 2.6mm thick the OP posted would be heavy duty tape.

Hah, you're right. I did get what they meant a mil is not a millimeter, must be a typo.

Not heavy duty, too narrow and thin.
