Pretty decent deal. I would ignore hdmi cable though. With these specs, I suggest using a DP cable.
HDMI included was for the inevitable question
I have an older version ED34CKR and second this. DP works awesome to get the 100 Hz refresh rate and plays well with the Mac.
My take on the older version:
Great display - VA takes a bit to get used to (off center colors), but the curved screen shines here. Real estate is awesome for gaming and work / excel / window mess
Stand height - I could use a bit higher, but I guess it's risking stability for such a big screen. Besides, quite a few folks use a separate stand/mount, so might not be an issue
Speakers - Crap. Really sad - they should label these as get your own speakers (at least for the ED34CKR)
i own this. the DP gives 144hz the HDMI only gets max of 100hz. It takes like 3-5 seconds to get out of sleep mode. kinda annoying. I bought this to test out my first ultra wide experience. I'll probably return it. The sleep mode delay annoys me a lot
I have the same. This was on Costco Black Friday special last year for $299 and a lot of us bought it then.
Over 8 months now and it's flawless. Gaming is on a whole new level. I mainly play CoD and Skyrim (with the ultrawide mod). I have a RX 5700 video card and my games can keep up around 120fps
No issues with the stand, etc. I'd highly recommend this anyday!!
Should I go for this one or the "Samsung 32" G5 Odyssey" the one at samsung are on sale right now make it low to 319usd but if you use epp or student it will low to 269 usd so should I buy it or this Acer one?

The Samsung G5 Odyssey is a very good gaming monitor I hear.
I think they each have their pros and cons.... From my research the G5 is a lot better as a pure gaming monitor and 269 is a great deal.
However, if you think you are going to do a lot more productivity with some gaming in between, I would go for this Acer since I hear a lot of people say once you go curved ultrawide, you never go back hahah
