Most anything can be a plex server, this included. Some things to be aware of with this though.

1. An i5 is going to be limited to scrubbing 1080p content at max. So if you do go this route make sure you use widely supported media files
2. There is little to no room to upgrade the storage on this. So even if you wanted to chuck a HDD in this you likely will run into some trouble with it.

There are better options that can be had for about 200-250 buying off ebay for something like this that will give you better expand ability.

Not a terrible deal. Depends on your needs. I still use an i5 2500 and it does the job fine.

Really deceptive way of posting the deal. The 16gb and 512gb SSD make it appealing but this is a 7 year old chip.

It'll still be just fine for a basic machine.

How is it deceptive? He simply listed the specs... Did you really expect anything better at this price at this day and age?

This is so old. Refurbished meaning the SSD must be on the last legs too. Run away as fast from this "deal" as possible.
