So, should you feel comfortable buying OLOy RAM? For the most part, the answer is a resounding yes, because the company uses industry-standard ICs, which are the same as those found in many of its better-known competitors. In our tests, OLOy RAM was at least as fast as its direct competitors so performance should not be a problem.

What you posted is regular RAM. These DIMMS also have RGB lighting, an internal temperature sensor and cost less.

Depends on brand/series of kit.

Example.. Corsairs DDR4 5000mhz XMP kit which cost over $1000 USD does not have them, but "lower end" Veng Pro/Dominators with worse binned IC's and lower layer count boards do.. lol

The RAM market is pretty funny once you understand certain things.

What memory chips/bin does this brand use? Never heard of them before. Seems like a budget brand at Newegg. Anyone know anything about this brand?

Never used this brand but it's a good price for 3200 RGB CL16 RAM. No OC needed for me at 3200. I'm in. Thanks OP.

OLOy usually uses Hynix chips. They are currently my favorite memory maker. I've bought 3 pairs of both 16GB and 32GB with no problem with XMP. No memory maker is perfect, but I've been happy with this brand.

I bought the 16gb x2 pair of ram of this brand, its been working well so far.

I was wondering if I buy this 8gbx2 pair and put it into the other two open slot of my motherboard, will it cause any issues? They are the same speed 3200.

What a strange brand name but at least Tom's vouches for them.

They use all 3 IC vendors pretty often.. More split Micron and Hynix though. The QVL on MSI x570 is 50/50

Was looking for a reason to start a new build and you did just that. In for two kits @ $4.87 per GB is basically a steal.

Hynix has been having some defective chips lately. I would stick with Crucial if you can afford it.
