Ok, yeah it was. The sharp Elite was an LCD though. Very bright.
LOL....my bad
You are right
When you said "Elite" it made me think of the Pioneer Kuro Elite plasma for some reason

I had forgotten about that Sharp Elite LCD....if I recall correctly they only available for 1 year?

I recall them being very expensive and then Best Buy fire sales the remaining inventory

Yeah they were available for 2 years 2011 and 2012. Super expensive for the time at 8k. I got mine for $825 used back in 2017 from a guy in NJ. Still a great TV to this day. Barely any blooming.

for top, I see this on their website:
Cash back not eligible on DAV Memory and Monitors, Trade-ins, Digital Flip Chart, DAV, Wall Mount, Commercial Display, TRAY, Storage, TV & Home Theater Accessories, AirDresser

Edit: I confused TV Accessories with actual TV. Looks like top cashback good for TV purchases.
ru sure? it could go both ways. they mention "DAV memory and Monitors" which are two completely different products.

"When the transaction is first reported, it will be given a Pending status. This means that the retailer has tracked your transaction and indicated the cashback to be awarded. They haven't yet, however, confirmed that all criteria has been met or that they will actually send the cashback."

Very good deal. I tried to add the bundle 10% discount but it is not compatible with the Samsung Care 3 years warranty. I can get either the 10% bundle discount or the 3 years warranty for free but not both together.

I end up not getting the extra 10% discount ($275 factor in the earbud cost) but keeping the 3 years warranty. $275 is actually not bad for the 2 extra years. The TV is so big and heavy so I want a peace of mind knowing Samsung will come fix or replace it.
extended warranties are not a good idea.

besides, most reputable credit card will double the manufacturer's warranty so you're only getting one year.

I'm debating between this and 77" c1. The tv will be in the basement and I will mostly be using it to watch HDR contents. So no brainer c1 is the better choice for quality. And lots of reviews mention dirty screen effect is still a high chance. But i been conflicted all week if 85" will give me a more immersive experience for movies. My couch is about 7ft away from the tv.
check out this video that someone linked earlier.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM-ED97_vKo

guy couldn't tell a diff between this tv and an oled. not only that, this was done side by side where they were actually looking for differences. in fact some scenes, it looked to me the samsung looked much better.

for example, check out this scene where stitching on the jacket is much clearer on the samsung.

https://youtu.be/jM-ED97_vKo?t=601

Also this scene, the face looks less muddy.

https://youtu.be/jM-ED97_vKo?t=496

if ur looking for immersive, size is better than minimal increase in pq in an oled. you can't get oled in this size and an 85" is just15" shy of 100".

I guess that depends
I received my full purchase price back on a 3 year old OLED that had developed burn in
Because prices have dropped I was able to buy a new OLED with another 5 year warranty for $200

As far as I know the manufacturers warranty( that would be doubled with a credit card) does not cover burn in

Additionally I bought my mother a Vizio P series( 2016 model) 50 " for her bedroom and it had about 4 months left on the Best Buy extended warranty
It died and according to Best Buy the part that was needed was not available anymore
So the 5 year warranty again gave the full purchase price back in the form of a gift card
Because prices have dropped she can actually get a better TV than the one from 2016 for the value of the gift card from the failed TV original purchase price

So about $500 spent on two 5 year warranty coverages has paid out about $2300

I used Samsung Financing 0% APR 36 Months Equal Pay. This method only cost me $155 more compared to the 10% bundle discount and I get many benefits. I think it is money well spent for my case.

$340 (10% discount) - $65 earbuds which I don't need - $120 streaming credit = I only pay $155 for the followings:

(1) 0% APR 36 Months Samsung Financing Equal Pay. I don't need to shell out $4000 at once. I can use the money somewhere else.
(2) Samsung Care+ 3 Years Warranty (1 year more than credit card warranty)
(3) Samsung Access Upgrade to a new TV of equal or greater value every 24 months with up to 33% savings.

Any luck with getting your account? Can you confirm if they honored the cashback?
