But while away for 2 weeks, house had a power outage, and this router (plugged into a Cyberpower 1500 UPS) did not recover once power came back on. When I returned home, I had to reinput settings.

I ran a speed test after setting up.
2.4G wifi: good coverage, no issue in the entire home but please note that the far away from the router, the weaker the signal will be. Speed test result: sitting right next to the router (literately 3ft away), I got roughly 50Mbps on my cellphone while getting about 90+ Mbps on my laptop and iPad. Signal strength and throughput drop as I move away from the router.
5G wifi: ok coverage, no issue in the entire home, in one of my bedrooms up-stair, the signal is very weak. Sitting next to the router, I got roughly 100Mbps on my phone and about 200Mbps on my laptop and iPad. Signal strength drops significantly as I move away.
My conclusion: it is an upgrade from my Linksys, especially the 2.4G networks.
Does it have any WOW factor? Absolutely not.
It performs as it should be, well, honestly I don't know why I only got 100 Mbps out of 2.4G wifi network.
No issue with Ethernet.

Now if I feel the whim, I can take my headset downstairs and play wireless room-scale VR stuff in the family room. I don't have to be tethered to the PC, or even on the same floor of the house as the PC. It sounds like black magic, and it is--but it works.
