The single player story is set after the second Deathstar is destroyed and eventually jumps forward in time to during the Force Awakens time frame. That said the multi-player battle grounds are based on battles or locations from all the movies, including Rogue One and Last Jedi. They have heros and villains to play as from the movies the maps are based on. I cannot say if they introduced any content for Rise of Skywalker as i no longer play.
