I don't know why you are downvoted. Is this the deal we have been waiting for months?

My advice is to never worry about or even comment on the downvotes. People are people. A solid deal will quickly overcome the occasional downvote. And this is a super solid deal.

I purchased these speakers last year and couldn't be happier! Blew me away and exceeded the heck out of my expectations!!!
I have a 7.1 setup with these for 2 years, and2 jbl ceiling speakers. Jbls are the weak linl so i use them as rears and the whole setup is equivalent to 10,000$ systems they try to sell at the fancy av store.

I am considering piecing together a home theater system of Infinity Reference speakers. That said, I am anxious to buy these and then need to wait for the next sale on the center, sub, and shelf speakers. Anyone know how often those sales pop up?
I bought the matching center back in 2018 and since then, these have seemed to go on sale yearly maybe? I'm a big fan, fwiw.

Man. Wish I could easily unload my R253s and pick these up. But I doubt there is going to be a huge difference considering I have a big sub. Would prefer them to match the RC263 center and R162 Surrounds though.
you and me both

The sub and surrounds go on sale pretty often. I have got two pair of rs152. One R12 and now I'm waiting on rc263

What would you have to hook these up to? I have a pretty basic vizio surround system w a center speaker, sub and 2 side speakers. Would I be able to use this w existing setup or no?

You need a stereo receiver, in between these and your tv. Your Vizio system was not designed to work with other speakers.

As long as you believe it does is all that really matters.

I have infinity Primus P362, wondering if it will be worth the upgrade to this.

I've had the Primus P253 + PC350 Center+ P162 Surrounds + 12" sub and I'm happy with them, despite having them about 12 years.

I ask myself the same question as you, and I can never convince myself to upgrade to something like these reference versions in the OP. I just dont think I would get the same return on my money for what's (probably) incrementally better.

I had the Primus pc363 center and same matching towers as you. The Primus center was also huge and massive like the reference center but the towers were lacking in comparison, but only obvious in stereo music.

These are definitely an upgrade and only thing that you can reasonably upgrade to without spending crazy amounts like thousands. The Primus line was great but it was still a budget line.

Having helped a friend make the same move I would have to agree with your assumption, it was "incrementally better" to me.

This is subjective and he did think it was worth the upgrade.

I will add he is a big Infinity fan and I do not fall under that category.

I have the Sony SSCS5 bookshelf speakers and the Sony core centers that go with it. I have some pretty crappy goodwill rear speakers. I was waiting for the $75 deal on the Sonys to upgrade the rears.

The question is, if I were to buy these tower speakers and move the sony bookshelf to the rear, would I need to update the centers to match the towers?

General audiophile wisdom I think says yes, but anyone with experience say otherwise? Plz halp. Thanks.
I have all the Sony and Infinity speakers you mention. The Sony center is the weak link and sounded like crap between the R162 front channels. Upgrading to the RC263 was night and day better, but did force a rethink of my setup to accommodate the huge center channel box. My advice would be to run phantom center until you can get the RC263 on sale.

I bought them at Fry's over 10 years ago. Does fine with music and movie.

Will this sound better for music and movies?

Same here. Driven with a Yamaha Aventage receiver, it does everything I want. I'm not overly impressed with the center channel - spoken word sounds a little muddy or soft in DD mode, unless I turn it up considerably.
