I was there 12/2019 right before covid. the Pool is a joke, we went there for 30 minutes one day out of our week. Not sure why we were there that long. Our upper floor did have an ice machine but we rarely used it, we were in Hawaii so we were out and about everyday. I bought my package through orbitz and the fees were all in there in the original payment so I had no additional resort fees. This price seems like it's more than what we paid back then, We paid roughly 1k per person for flight + 1 week of stay. Based on this that would be 350 + 464 = $814 and that's without the flight.

You might as well stay in the county jail for free during your 10 day mandatory quarantine in Honolulu. Cops have been arresting violators and throwing them in jail and issuing a $5,000 citation and have a misdemeanor offense on their criminal record after hotel staff alert police of customers leaving their rooms!

What a comment. I'd hazard a guess you've never "stayed" in a county jail let alone spent time in North Korea. Equating public safety guidelines during a pandemic that has killed 600k Americans with jail, North Korea and "communism" seems a little overdramatic, no? As another commenter pointed out, the ten day quarantine is waived if you test negative.

I'm actually going to be in Honolulu for two nights, and haven't booked the hotel yet. I'm considering just checking out before the last night because this price seems pretty good, but I'm pretty sure I'm better off just booking two nights somewhere?

As someone with plenty of Outrigger experience, they are a management company for privately owned condos...and it is up to the owner to decide how nice or shabby the condo is. So in 1 complex you can have a horrid experience or the best ever! How do you have the best...call them and ask about the unit you are booking about when it was last updated, the condition of the condo...they have that information and will tell you. We would then request "what is available that has been updated in the past 2-3 years" and get a great stay. Our last Outrigger on Maui, super modern, clean, really roomy, and amazing sunset views...but in that same complex reviews of "gross, dated, etc...". Asking and being nice goes a long way...

I'll be honest, Cabo or Puerto Vallarta would be cheaper and for this price you can get a much better hotel with awesome pools.

Key here is select test centers approved by the Hawaii government! I've been reading in the news that thousands of visitors to Hawaii were forced to quarantine for 10 days or return since the negative tests weren't from the tiny list of State of Hawaii approved test centers! The whole system is a sham to get each person to pay $130 for a COVID test that is free everywhere else!

Price-wise, yes. At $349 for two nights are better off getting a higher rated hotel at the same price or less. Hilton Garden Inn was pretty good, would be around that rate for two nights if you booked direct.
