Buyer beware: Just like the previous version, you need to be ONLINE to play the OFFLINE career mode. If you're wanting to play this on a plane or somewhere where you don't have connectivity....you're screwed.

I almost bought this for my plane trips this weekend...but that part kills the deal for me.

Is it even playable? I purchased the 2020 for $3 and kinda regret it 😂. The response time between the controller and the game was horrible on Switch. A very fun game on other console but not on Switch unless they've improved the game on this version.

Same for 2k21 PGA golf. Was all excited to play it on a plane trip and had the same issue.....had to be online to play offline. Grrrrrrr.....

Wow i will never accept online connection needed for offline modes. Just sad really my switch wifi is trash have to play near router and still meh. My oculus quest 2 perfect on my wifi on air link gaming from pc but switch to iffy... Wish we as consumers could make things better but voting with wallet only works now but most cry as they buy it... Wish madden was on switch the better older ones before mut lol

I prefer going thru all the trouble of creating and trading players to teams they are on now on 2k18. Lot of hassle but that games mechanics blows this away.

Cant get this game to download. I get that Error Code: 2123-1502 from that recent update. Tried everything from N's support page too.

I bought 2k20 for a similar price and here my pros and cons

Cons :
- needs internet to play and makes you sign up for 2k

- graphics are similar to 360/ps3 graphics lol. This doesn't really bother me cause I enjoyed those versions

- playing on a single joy con is trash

- game size is huge

- loading and starting this game is a pain in the ass . Especially when you have to re-sign into your 2k account


Pros :

- game is fun. my career , exhibition , etc

- to my knowledge this is the full game. Most game modes are on here

- game is only 5 dollars

- plays well if you have a pro controller

- scratches the basketball itch for the switch
