Any of these airfryers that don't have separate, side venting in the heat chamber are utterly worthless. the only air motion in such inferior designs is up and down. avoid such models/designs at all costs

This is what air fryers used to be like 100 years ago.

mine didn't last 17 months and the warranty is only one year. I bought the 6qt bella for $39 few days from best buy (deal of the day special I think).it comes with two year warranty. Let's see how long will it last.

He was likely just missing the "A" in "GAF686".

I have a different model of theirs that is also has analog temp and timer controls. Don't use it a lot, but worked fine when I did use it. Made nice crispy chicken thighs last night. If I didn't already have one I would buy it.

On a side note found a little trick on YouTube that makes clean up a lot easier. Put aluminum foil at the bottom. Caught all the chicken thigh grease. Just lifted it out and only had to clean the basket.

I just looked and mine is a GAF-560.

Are these actually significantly better than, say, a Cuiseneart toaster oven with convection?

No, in fact, Wirecutter recommends against these versus the convection toaster ovens.

This price is pretty good though, so since I don't have either, I'm tempted. Best Buy has several on sale, but they don't have great/many external reviews to give me confidence
