Nice lighter and last night went to smoke a cigar but from all the fancy ones I have I searched for the "free with a cigar purchase triple flame lighter" with a fold out punch at the bottom.
My consistent go-to lighter and I feel these lighters might just never be used.
Bought dual flame of this style. A single flame of this style for $27 is super cheap. Especially since single flame wasn't released until about a year after my original purchase.
My wife uses if for her herbal pipe. She abuses the hell out of it. The lighter itself is a brickhouse. Solid solid. Good weight feel in the hand. If you tossed this to someone they better catch it. If it tags them in the face it'll do damage depending on how hard the toss was.
It takes about 3 ten second bursts of butane to fill up. Following instructions provided never fill it up on first go.
It's so old now the interior around the jet heads is accumulating that weird mineral build up that old pennies sometime get. Otherwise it's in perfect working order.
OPs 3 jet version looks about 10% fatter but 25% shorter. I'd expect the fuel tank to be the same on both as the window looks identical.
The Turim was their top of the line for a long time. So can't go wrong. Either way, both are almost completely metal. So they will last a very long time.
(Can't remember if I paid $60 or $80 back in the day. Got lucky on the price when I needed it as a gift. These are quality gifts for adults that won't lose the lighter.)

Thanks for the info buddy. I ended up getting 2 of the Ellipse 3's in the OP plus a few cigars.
That's probably some carbon build-up and oxidation in the nozzles of your wife's lighter. Cleaning the nozzles with a Q-Tip dipped in alcohol usually does a good job removing the carbon build-up.
Wish this deal was for the gunmetal version, but all blacked out will do. Good price for good lighters. Remember you need to buy premium butane for these, which is another $17-$20 for a 2 or 3 pack.
Ordered on the 16th, tracking still hasn't updated even though it showed the 18th as the "out for delivery" anticipation. Been stuck in "Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item".
What is the recommended butane for this? Ronson 78RBF Multi-Fill Butane Fuel good enough?
Got my lighters and butane bottles in yesterday. Looks brand new and unopened, unused. Really high quality lighters that fires up strongly and instantly.
They came with the chrome top, not the all black in the pictures when I purchased this. The website must've changed the pictures later on to match the chrome top.
anyone get theirs yet? mine just did...one has been used and is broken, and they are both not as pictured
they are not all black (tops are silver)...how can we be sure what we got are the iiis and not something else?
Tough luck , I just got mines and brand new as described. Just used one now and works very good, I like that is not flame thrower style like the cheap ones.

My lighters came in two days ago. Brand new condition, but also not completely black as originally pictured. Pretty disappointed by that.
They still run the lifetime warranty just as strong. Sent in a 10 year old triple flame a few months back. They couldn't fix it, so they gave me a choice of three different replacement lighters to choose from since my model was discontinued. Zero hassle.
I sent in a crappy cigar international branded Xikar lighter that never worked right and was six years old and was upgraded no issues. Very good to work with. Stumbled upon them having a lifetime warranty and was pleasantly surprised.
Got my lighters. Mine were black with a silver top like others said. Would have preferred a solid black or chrome. I emailed them and will report back if they say anything worthwhile.

Curious what they'll say back, but definitely interested if it would be worth my effort.
