I'm using it with the 4.0 and the 6.0 and it's great. It's lightweight which is the most important thing and much much quieter than anything else that I've used. Heck, it's quieter than the typical handheld home cordless vacuums. So it's great for little cleanups, e.g. cutting drywall for outlet and clean up quickly, drill concrete patio and cleanup quickly, cut baseboard in the house and cleanup quickly, you see where I'm going with this. Having said that, I managed to do a quick sweep of 500sqft floor + stairs and still had plenty of 4.0 battery left. If someone is looking to substitute their corded dry/wet vac, they're fooling themselves, either in 12V or 18/20V platforms. But the convenience won't be beat in any way.

Same size hose. 51cfm for bosch. 50cfm for milwaukee.

4.0ah at 18v is same run time (technically energy) as 6.0ah at 12v.

So really does come down to other things like form factor or if you want to invest in a particular battery platform.

The 12V Milwaukee has more cfm than the 20V Dewalt.

50cfm vs. 33cfm

Dewalt doesn't list suction but same size hose.

I didnt know they made this yet.. Thanks SD..

I have the dewalt 18v and it works well but its getting old, and I can take it back to my basement now and use this in the garage. I also have the Porter cable, but it just doesnt seem to work as well and I dont have as many batteries. I am really buying this for the size and the fact that I have a dozen mke batteries charged and ready to go at any given time.

Thanks OP!

I take my Dewalt when we go camping, or to the beach, use it for the Truck and Car. Take it to some property I own w/o power.

Use it around the yard and in the shed instead of dragging out a cord and my large shop vac.

Used it in my attic after a new roof was put on to clean all the debris off the plywood floor where I store stuff, again instead of lugging big shop vac into attic.

Just convenience

The 18V Dewalt worked really well. Both the Dewalt 20V versions have terrible suction, a big let down.

My concern is 3min run time per AH? Love my Milwaukee 12V tools but mostly have 1.5 AH batteries. That would mean if I used up all 4 I may get 18 minute run time? OUCH!

I have plenty of Dewalt 20V batteries 3/4/5 and even some flexvolts. But again, their vacuums suck.

The Milwaukee 18V gets great reviews, but 2 battery types are enough for me, (Dewalt 20V and Milwaukee 12V)
Well, if you buy this kit it comes with a 6.0Ah bundled in, so your problem is solved! Smilie

I also wonder if they'll do one with an optional extension cord hookup like the M12 Rocket Light. Even if most of the time you want cordless, it is super useful to have that option in your back-pocket.

Each 6 Ah battery only lasts 15 minutes after all...

Awesome find. I didnt know there was an m12 vacuum. I have a good little collection of M12 & its all just for use in the house & garage. This will be a great addition. Will use it to clean the seats in my jeep after trail runs.

I don't know how good this model is, but I have the M12 dry only vacuum and it's terrible. About all it's good for is putting next to your drill when making a hole in drywall to keep the dust from hitting the ground. It's also pretty loud for how small it is.

This is completely different. It's fuel vs non-fuel for the first very obvious difference. The two don't compare at all.
