When I connect to Saint Petersburg via vpn on my phone and then use the link, it still comes up as $55.99. I tried logging out and back in but still the same.

You might have a (cookie) set that flags your machine, even if you log out and back in. Tidal does this for account churners on mobile, for ex. Have you tried logging in using incognito mode?

I wouldn't call breaking gogs terms and conditions a deal. They clearly state that use of a vpn to get around regional pricing is not ok, and you may end up with a banned account.

I disagree with regional pricing as much as anyone, but this isn't helping.

I mean, not every economy is the same. If everything was the same price for everyone it very likely means it would be unaffordable for most. Until nations quit trying to screw each other it's the way it is.

GOG is such an awful client.

I first got it when I bought Cyberpunk. At first I thought it was just Cyberpunk being cyber**** but it turns it was a problem with GOG client and I had to REDOWNLOAD THE ENTIRE GAME.

GOG had ONE JOB with one of the biggest games (now biggest failures) and they couldn't get it right.

This is close to what I paid just for Cyber Punk near launch using the same Russian VPN method.

They can either get a discounted purchase from me or I can sail the seven seas to get it for free.

The only reason I even purchased the game was to support CD Projekt Red one last time, if they don't turn things around. Otherwise I only buy games on extreme sales years later. I have quite the backlog to get through.

Ya I understand that, and since the economy isn't the same, the reason why it's not the Russian price in America is because the gdp of America means people can generally afford it. People buying in this method shown is taking advantage of their good graces to let people play who genuinely could not afford it.

If your options are breaking the terms of use or pirating, then that's pretty sad.

I don't buy games until they hit $15 so I'm all for waiting for a sale, even if it takes years. There's plenty of interesting stuff to play on the market while I wait. There's really no benefit to playing most games while they're new anymore. Case in point, but riddled messes that get heavily discounted once the game gets fixed down the road and is finally fun.
