I did enter the code and it did not work with Amazon as the seller. Hence the question if if it was for the third party seller!

Hue bulbs work great and are very reliable compared to other bulbs that have app/connectivity issues. Though if you're going to splurge on hue bulbs I would go for the ambiance bulbs or color ones as they produce a nicer range of light.

I agree and I don't think I've ever seen a deal on those. It is always the regular white or the color.
