Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Luigi and Zelda were 30 at Walmart last Black Friday. Just as a reference.
As an adult you have more expendable income. So you start getting quite the backlog of games. I will never buy a game at release because I know if I wait around a year it'll go down in price by 50%. (Except nintendo games)
The problem with adulthood is you now have the funds to play video games but you no longer have the time. I can't have those days where I binge play video games. You will get to the point where you play your old games but it takes time.
For reference, I am just now getting to Nier: Automata. Why buy games at full price if I have these quality games that I bought for 20 dollars?
Cool. Let us know if they pricematch.

I think a really big advantage to being a patient gamer is you never hear us complaining about preordering a shitty unfinished game lol
Cyberpunk 2077? Yeah see you when you're 20 bucs and all patched up.
I agree. Patience is a virtue.
I do not understand why someone would pre-order a game unless it was some sort of super limited collectors edition physical edition.
I agree. I've been holding out for $30. No rush for me, got a nice backlog.
The way Nintendo controls pricing (and keeps used games artificially high by limiting production) you'll be waiting awhile. For example, Link's Awakening was released in 2019 yet $40 is considered a "deal."

I'm in the same boat. And I have yet to finish Nier: Automata after buying it for quite some time. It's not bad but I feel it is a bit overrated.
Personally if I can afford, I try to support the developers if possible especially smaller or less profitable ones.
Because if we all buy a game at 90% discount, the developer could go down and we wouldn't see more games. That's said, for a Nintendo first party game that is so popular and already sold so many copies, I'm sure they can afford a 50% discount and still be profitable.
I bought Link's Awakening at $30 and sold it already. My kids are just not interested...as they are disappointed that it is nothing like Breath of the Wild.

Who said I'm not going to play? @mechzz post explains people like us...
Yes $30 is my limit on games that the kids don't ask for. Lost my pants on Animal Crossing. Lol
