I used to use these exclusively and then ordered the regulars by accident. I'm still working through the box. Honestly, I can't really tell that much of a difference 🤷

How do these compare to the regular finish tablets? I know you need a membership, but its the same price at costco for 2x as many.
If you have a good dishwasher not that much. For regular dish washer they do clean coffee spots better.

Sam's club has 117 of the Finish hard tabs for $14.68 which is about $0.12 each instead of $0.17 each but it's all what you like hard or gel tabs.

Thank you both! I have been using the Kirkland brand with the Finish liquid dry. Running out of the kirkland brand tablets, so may just switch to the finish regular brand.
I used to use these because they were better than the regular Finish tabs but left a soap residue. I tried the Kirkland brand tabs and have never looked back. Crystal clean dishes and glasses with no soap residue.

I'm not the sort to replace appliances for fashion, but if your dishwasher ever leaves dishes dirty: Clean the filter. If it still does it, get a new dishwasher. A modern long cycle dishwasher with a stainless tub can be had for ~$400 if you keep an eye on slickdeals, and they're soooooo worth it. No more pre rinsing, no more re-washing.

Don't bother debating pods vs powder vs liquid. What you want, what you need, is a new dishwasher.

I use the cheapest tabs at BJs, and I add 2 heaping tablespoons of citric acid crystals to each load. Also use vinegar in the liquid dryer dispenser. Spotless and cheap.

I don't follow the thing with using vinegar in the dishwasher, washing machine or coffee maker - clothes, morning coffee and dishes are things I don't want stinking or tasting like vinegar. I get that it's all natural / non toxic and all that, but vinegar stinks bad. And yes, it doesn't all get washed out by the end, it leaves a smell.

I'm currently using the regular ones as well on a Bosch dishwasher.

I use to use Cascade Platinum on a Kitchen Aid dishwasher in another home and felt that washed better. With no water spots.

I then installed a water softener with the Bosch dishwasher, and noticed my cleaning performance improved significantly with very few water spots.

I suspect the more expensive detergent tabs have some type of water softening effect to remove the impact of hardware that not every house needs (depends on how hard or soft your water is).

I did buy another set of cascade platinum but didn't want to open those up until I finish through my supply of regular finish tabs. I noticed the Cascade bags will turn yellow with time if you don't use it quickly.
Did you install a whole home softener? What brand did you choose?

Yes I did, I ended up going with a model suggested by my handy man who advised against some of the DIY ones and definitely cheaper than the big brand names.
  1. In terms of treatment method, Go with salt, no other solution actually softens water. The non-salt solutions have something other than a resin system.
  2. The key component in a water treatment system is the water valve that has the following key aspects:
    1. Regulates water/salt usage / Regeneration well
    2. An easy to use
    3. Good support for replacement parts if something does break
  3. With those aspects in mind, I went with the Clack WS1 valve for my home, that does a good job of regenerating based on measured water usage (~1800 gallons between water usage) which is about every 2-3 weeks in my case since I have a soft water loop as well.
  4. Installation cost was around $1500 including equipment (which I think was $~750-800.) but cost of items wasn't split up since I trusted the guy and he's been servicing my potable water needs for over 8 years.

Shows a 20% coupon for me - still a good find. Same for 82-Count Tabs.

I thought so too but you have to login to your Amazon account as the link above brings you to a page that isn't logged into Amazon...... then type in finish quantum tabs and then you'll see the 25% off coupon.
It's still only 20% off
