Where are the good old days when these coupons could be found in many magazines and newspapers? Those days have been over for a long time now, at least in our area except for the totally rare promo such as this, now through Sunday June 20 for Father's day. (certain brand and big ticket exclusions described under the coupon in the link)

Is that why my 69 cents scissors are now 99 cents? I was wondering where the ubiquitous 20% coupon was.. thought I was going crazy bc it was really easy to find before. Couldn't find it last week.

There are still good items. I bought wheel chock for $8 which is same as amazon and bug zapper for $4. And steel car ramp $50 when everywhere else is $100. But overall it means I would stick with HD instead by default. I did like HF but without them 20% and price increase.. idk how I feel now.

Most of the power tool names are excluded. No offense to the OP, these have always been so so promotions because the things you would be most excited to use it for don't qualify.

HF prices are getting on par with big box stores and more than the EXACT item (painted differently and no name) on Amazon. Poor strategy on their part. Too bad, used to go there all the time.

This does work on the tarps which are still priced fairly well. You won't get better than the 12mm extreme duty for the price.

I used to be a big HF fan, but they really have taken a turn for the worse.Their attempt at going more upscale and removing coupons (or severely restricting them) is going about as well as that strategy did for JC Penney, which they later walked way back. People love the cheap stuff and "getting a deal" when going to HF and now both of those things are nearly completely gone. Its showing in this thread and visible at store parking lots which are much less crowded.

I can imagine the board meeting that this strategy was approved at and the slick PowerPoint charts that talked about how successful it would be... Entirely designed by people who hadn't been into one of their stores in years.

Meanwhile, Home Depot's house brand and insane deals in the Ryobi ecosystem are crushing it right now.

Everything is excluded. I really need a deal on a 30 gallon air compressor. Seems like that size never goes on sale so I'll have to try and make my own discount getting some discounted gifts cards to Lowe's or HD. That's all the new HF policies have done for me lately, pushed me to look elsewhere.
