I have owned one of these watches for many years and really like it. The tritium backlight combined with the titanium case, bezel and band make it ligtweight and a pleasure to wear. Mine recently broke on me (minute hand became detached) and the tritium was beginning to get weak anyway. Checked AMAZON - they have been out of stock for the last 6 years or so. To my surprise they were back! And better yet - lowest price ever according to 3 C's - $174.95 - passing along the link in case anyone else is interested.

Seems like a good price for titanium body and tritium lume, but S&W is not a watch maker. So this is just a licensing deal manufactured by some no-name company. Those aren't always bad, but they're rarely great. And the reviews give me pause.

Stick with Seiko, Casio G-Shock, Citizen, or even Timex if you want something tough and reliable in this price range. Or save up for a Victorinox, or a Luminox if you really need that tritium glow.

Save up for a Luminox ? You mean the Luminox with the fiber reinforced case, (AKA plastic) ? When I looked at Luminox in the past they didn't offer anything but plastic cases and reviews were full of complaints of the cases being easily worn down by daily use. Regular cheapo Casio watches with stainless steel case might get scratched by daily use but never worn down. Maybe Luminox has stainless steel cases now, just make sure to steer clear of their plastic cased watches no matter how fancy the marketing techno jargon gets.

Could very well be a Ronda movement made in Thailand. They have a factory there, in Bangkok, and they do use Swiss parts.

Copied this from another site about this watch- "This watch also features precision quartz Swiss component movement"
