I just did benchmark comparisons to my 1660ti and it's somehow worse LMAO
CHASE cardholders:
(under bonus offers on chase.com click and activate the Dell 5% bonus.)

Upgrade to Ryzen 7 for $100
Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for $50

Price will subtract $11 in cart on the Pro license. Add the "50OFF699" code for the $50 off.

Price will be exactly at $999 which is the bare minimum to activate the bonus 5% cash back on purchases of $999 or more.

So drops it to $949+ tax for Ryzen 7 and a Pro license for $100 more. Seems like the way to go.

Hope that helps someone, have a good day.
This is a 80W TGP RTX 3050 which is the maximum for RTX 3050. The RTX 3050 Ti in G15 also comes with 90W TGP, maximum allowed for that GPU as well.

Are you sure?

They both have a max of 95W according to this: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lis...620.0.html

And this: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lis...621.0.html

SSD is m.2 2230 form factor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V62zQs6lf4U) [youtube.com].
The installed SSD is 2230 but there is a screw hole for a 2280 SSD. Both slots support 2230 and 2280 SSDs.

Yes, I am sure.
80W is the max TGP supported by RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti. The rest is from Dynamic Boost and that can be configured differently by different manufacturers for different Laptop models. Below is the official Nvidia Spec:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-in/gefo...s/compare/

Another thing, the page for RTX 3050 in Notebookcheck also clearly mentioned that to have 80W TGP for the max implementation.

If you have an AMEX card, check the Dell $120 of order of $599+ in your account if you plan to use the card to get his price down to $779 before tax which is better than the $50 off offer
Not sure if it can stack with the cash back with Slickdeals, check the terms

I am looking for a gaming laptop for my child. This G15 seems to offer the best specs for price. I think this is better than the EVOO series right?

If you are referring the $899 EVOO with Ryzen 7 4800H + RTX 2060 then that laptop is a better choice than this one.

1660ti-mq mobile is about the same performance as a 3050ti mobile (and this is a 3050). Doesn't feel like a great deal, imo.
$750 and under could be.
You can enable Ray tracing and DLSS which isn't possible in GTX 1660 Ti. DLSS 2.0 does improve performance by lot.
And RTX 3050 Ti does perform better than the full wattage GTX 1660 Ti and better than MQ version like you're claiming. Also, it offers DLSS. Only in some games which require more than 4GB Video memory, GTX 1660 Ti has an advantage. I am not sure what review you're looking but below is one from Notebookcheck.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVI...430.0.html
But feel free to share your review link from where you go that performance number.
