The installed SSD is 2230 but there is a screw hole for a 2280 SSD. Both slots support 2230 and 2280 SSDs.

80W is the max TGP supported by RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti. The rest is from Dynamic Boost and that can be configured differently by different manufacturers for different Laptop models. Below is the official Nvidia Spec:

Another thing, the page for RTX 3050 in Notebookcheck also clearly mentioned that to have 80W TGP for the max implementation.

And RTX 3050 Ti does perform better than the full wattage GTX 1660 Ti and better than MQ version like you're claiming. Also, it offers DLSS. Only in some games which require more than 4GB Video memory, GTX 1660 Ti has an advantage. I am not sure what review you're looking but below is one from Notebookcheck.
