The cheapest I've seen is 170, so 180 is about the cheapest it's been.

If you own apple products, spatial audio is really cool. First time I heard it, I thought other people in the house had gotten up. Not sure if it justifies the price of the AirPods but I use them for calls , shows, podcasts and music. It excels at all of them.

I considered that because I have Apple TV, but it's only on the 4K version, right? I'm not upgrading my ATV just for that.

Yeah, as long as they aren't total crap audio-wise, not sure how next gen AirPods could be price competitive at ~$200 more.

We use a lot of iPads in the house in addition to the Apple TV's so I find the spatial audio really cool when you're walking around while watching on the iPad.
