FWIW, I also got that Hisense 65" last Black Friday. It was borderline unusable. Android TV sucked and even using built-in TV functions sucked. It eventually completely froze on me and stopped responding. So I did a full factory reset and this time did not configure Android TV at all and did not connect it to the internet. Since then, it's been totally fine. I plan to do this for all Hisense TVs going forward. It really does seem like the hardware is fine but the software sucks.

Anyone wanna throw their opinion in on the quality of this ? It looks like the Hisense U6G line is the way to go per rtings. tv'sunder $500 but the price seems pretty solid ?

It's not a bad price if you need it now. It will be a lot cheaper around Christmas. Contemplating myself about it I've been wanting a new one cause mine is getting fuzzies.

Got the Hisense "5" series 55" 4K at Walmart for $250 a few years ago on Black Friday. 5 series is not close to specs on their "6" series. That said, I've found it to be a very good TV, and was a great value. That deal has been repeated many times since. 60" would be nice. $380 seems decent, a bit high, and definitely not slick. But, if I was in the market, and not picky, picky, about all things video, I could see going for it. Consumer Reports doesn't give Hisense great reviews compared to double and triple priced competitors. Just fine for me.

Full Array is not the same as FALD or Local Dimming. Two more inches than my 58" $278 HR6 isn't worth it to me. Got Hisense R6 a year ago for a hundred less, now everything is more expensive from shortages. I'd wait it out on big items if you can. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hisens.../479239112 it's been a good TV for the price.
