the current cat tree we have has a real wobble issue on the upper rungs with our ten pound cat so hopefully this one is more stable

Cats do generally prefer height/visibility. My only issues with these types are the poles are not fully sisal wrapped so they can only scratch in certain spots, not climb. And they use thinner roap because of that so it wears out faster...

I have an armacat that has to be... at least 12 years old and braces off the ceiling. Its still functional and on a ledge 10 feet up and he gets up there from upstairs and sleeps in a basket 18 feet off the floor. But for $37...
