The 5 is the worst of the bunch hands down. Half the time it doesn't hear you, so I unplug it and plug it back in (helps temporarily). The original Echo Show works much better, and that's an old device.

Does Ring offer different Ring Protect Plans?
Yes, Ring provides two types of Ring Protect Plans - Ring Protect Basic and Ring Protect Plus. The Basic plans covers one device and the Plus plan covers all devices at a location. You can learn more about the benefits of each plan on the Ring Protect plans page.
What is the price of each plan?
Ring Protect Basic is $3 per month or $30 per year for each device subscribed (in the US).
Ring Protect Plus is $10 per month or $100 each year to cover all devices at your home (in the US).

You don't need a subscription for a bell to work. But it won't save any of your videos of motion events, so you can retrieve previous videos.
So they make you get a

I am subscribed to the basic plan if $3 /month ($36 for year) or you can pay $30 for the year and save $6 as a pay in full discount. It saves all the videos which you can retrieve, share, save etc. Or share to the Neighbors app (another ring app where neighbors share the videos to their local law enforcement).
