I've had this for a while.

Pros:
  • Very comfortable
  • Long battery life
  • Notifications from phone are pretty handy
  • Counts steps well
Cons:
  • Heart rate monitor is total shite for any intensive exercise
  • The app is also really awful. Super-confusing and unintuitive, even for an uber-geek like me.

Bought this earlier this year for two months.... then the watch dropped to the pavement and the glass was cracked. Found out there is no way to repair it so basically it's gone.

I own the Fitbit Sense and there are a couple of things that I don't like vs the Versa 1 and 2 I had.

#1 the haptic button on the Sense doesn't always register vs the physical button. I use this often for Alexa. Sometimes it's too sensitive and sometimes you can tap 6 different locations and it won't register once.

#2 they had a music control by swiping down twice on the older Versa but on the Sense you can only control it by long pressing the haptic button and setting it as the default. (see #1 for why this is such a pain when you have sweat at the gym/pool and trying to use this)

#3 if you enable the ECG and some of the other features your battery life can go from the "recommended" 6 days to 1.5 days.

#4 If you have older bands from

The only reason why I kept it vs returning it and buying the Versa 2 is Amazon offered a $100 credit for not returning it when I told them about these issues and wanting to switch to the Versa 2.

Hope this helps.

Does the Versa 3 add anything to the Versa 2? My wife and I have Versa 2. My wife had seen something about the ECG, and since she has some heart oddities, figured, let's get the upgrade...from what I'm understanding, there's little to no upgrade from versa 2, or even some degradation with the haptic button instead of physical button. So I'm curious, why at that time you were wanting the versa 2 vs the versa 3, and whether the versa 3 is any upgrade from either?

Thank you. I just ordered two of the Sense, so debating if I need to cancel those orders. I don't want to spend $400 and get worse data...but we are concerned about her heart...

Now that Google has aquired Fitbit and Samsung is going to go back to Android wear OS, I think the Galaxy Watch Active 4 will blow this away.

From my understanding, in order to get the most from your Fitbit, you need to pay a subscription (Fitbit premium). It makes sense if it's for coaching and shit but needing to pay a subscription to check my sleep score?

The Versa 3 is better than the Versa 2 with a better way to attach the bands, built in GPS and better charger but it's the same $199 price as the Fitbit Sense during Amazon Prime Day so I wouldn't go with the Versa 3. I have some heart problems so that's why I tried the Sense but don't expect it to be that valuable. If you have issues with battery life just turn off the ECG on your watch and you'll see much better battery life.

You don't need premium to see most of your scores. I can view the following using just the app and no premium add on (Fitbit Sense). * Note some are repeated in different sections

Skin Temperature
Stress Management
Exercise
Sleep Score
Heart Rate
Health Metrics
- Breathing Rate
- Heart rate variability
- Skin temperature
- Oxygen saturation
- Resting heart rate
