I know a lot of people complain about the in-ear fit of these earbuds and I thought it was exaggeration but I definitely experienced it. I have sampled a TON of different earbuds over the years, and none have felt as bizarre as these in the ear. it's doesn't have to do with the ear tips but the shape of the part you actually put the ear tips on (the tiny speakers). It's way too large (at least for me) and it can't really go too far inside my ear like all other earbuds can because of that part's size. I have an absolute massive amount of extra ear tips from all the earbuds I've had over the years and NONE have been able to help with the fit. The closest were the Jabra ear tips and the Comply foam ear tips that I have, but still, it can't go in deep enough which can effect the how loose they feel in your ear and can give you the feeling that they may fall out. It probably also effects the sound and noise cancellation effect if they don't go in deep enough. What a bummer. Still, they sound great. Imagine if they got the fit of these right and added LDAC support, that would make these even better than how incredible they already are in terms of sound quality. From what I hear they actually did do just that with the XM4s... To bad those are literally DOUBLE this price, and they may be better than the XM3s, but there is absolutely know way they are more than double the price better ($280 vs. $128)
Does anyone know if it's possible that Sony can eventually do a software update where these earbuds can support LDAC? or are they purposely not doing it because it could prevent people from buying the XM4s if they can just update these and make them sound as good?
Still, I think the best earbud deal you can get when you figure in quality and price are the Jabra Elite 65T. You could have gotten them refurbished from anywhere from $25 to $35 and sometimes they actually send you brand new retail boxes. And the sound quality is not that different from these.
The most overpriced are the Sennheiser Momentums. I can't believe they retailed for $300. I got them brand new for $100 a few months ago, and I actually liked my Jabra Elite 65Ts that I got for $25 more. Imagine $25 earbuds sounding better than $300 earbuds...
My girlfriend has the pros and I got these and I absolutely love the sound quality on these. The noice canceling in both is honestly impressive but I listen to bass heavy music so these are better
