Yes, it works with the PS5... but you do need to understand that ONLY PS4 games are playable from it. PS5 games, due to tech inside the console itself, need to be stored on the PS5.

There are a lot of posts on Reddit and Amazon reviews saying PS4 games play quite well off of this thing... not the fastest, but still faster than playing it on the PS4 itself. And being 5TB means this thing is massive and well worth the price of admission.

Picked one up for Ps5, not the fastest HDD but its got great reviews. Plenty of Reddit post of people playing PS4 games off the drive without any issues.

Can't beat $18 a TB and just $16 more than the 2TB version.

Passport ultra is usb c compare to micro USB for the black. I think the speeds should be similar for all of them since none are ssd.

I bought the 5tb ultra for $99 today just cuz I don't want to deal with micro USB anymore and want usb c

Picked one up for Ps5, not the fastest HDD but its got great reviews. Plenty of Reddit post of people playing PS4 games off the drive without any issues.

Never bought an HDD before, just want one to store my library of movies/games. Would use the HDD sparingly (it would be off or just not in use like 98% of the time). Is this a good value for that or should I look elsewhere?

Just grabbed this. Read the aforementioned Reddit threads to see about how much room people need to store Xbox One games for Series X and it was about 4-6TB if they keep everything. 5TB at this price was the sweet spot for me and this drive is reviewed well for an HDD.
