Having a button definitely would have helped.
But "Turn off tv" is a option on roku app. Select it using roku remote.
Atleast i dont need to switch remotes.
See if reduces some pain for you.
Anyway, they now have a cheaper comcast cable plan for living room, but bedroom has roku. There is a Comcast (xfinity) app that works well. But to change channels from a lower number to a 5XX channel is a pain in the @$$. Gotta hold down the page down button for seconds before it gets to where you wanna get to.
And if you want live TV shows like say food network, cnn, and others, you still need some kind of paid tv plan, like comcast, or fubotv, or some other packaged plan. Many networks have their own specific monthly plan, but some ate only in a packaged plan. And there are a lot of free apps with several free channels (tv/movies).
With comcast they got a pck with landlines, 800 mbps internet, and 200 plus channels for $130. FuboTv has a plan and would have cost $70 a month so I figured comcast was best for now since they wanted some specific channels.
