There are a few options to get Instacart Express free trial for 2-3 months, Mastercard promo, Gpay, Amex 29 off 29+(must spend total of 29+, may take 3 months), with that and a promotional discount it is not too bad.
I mainly used it for the 50 off 250 Amex Platinum Offer, (up to 2 times expire 6/30)
I used it with a super bowl promo that was $60 off, with 100 off via Amex and reduced fees via Instacart Express that should have been enough to offset the fees. Unless I urgently need something I likely would not use the service on a regular basis as the extra costs are quite high and delivery quality varies, some shoppers are more reliable than others...
