Price changed to $137.74 for prime exclusive deal. Decent budget mobo, but beware of the Lan driver/hardware issue exist in Rev 1 and 2. I believe the issue was addressed in Rev 3. Hopefully these are Rev 3.

What issue? is it only if using 2.5gig LAN?

Looking at some of the reviews in Amazon/Newegg and MC, people have reported in the hardware revision 1 and 2 where the Lan port either malfunction or drops connection occasionally despite driver and bios updates. It appears this issue has been resolved in revision 3 of the hardware. As fas as I know this was one of the primary issue on this mobo.

Really like this mobo but it doesn't have modern ARGB control. So if you want to add ARGB external accessories, you are SOL unless you buy a controller. This only has the ability to color the whole device, not the individual RGBs. On-board stuff (ram, board itself) that I have do work with Aurasync in addressable manner.

Have been running it for about 2 years no issues or complaints. Asus is still one of the best motherboard brands, I would buy it again despite the RGB issue.

Seems I have R1.03, I guess this is the 3rd revision then. That would make sense because I have never experienced an issue with the networking or anything else. With a 5900x this has been the most stable computer I have had in a long time. With a 3600 earlier, it was definitely less stable though.
I bought it in July 2020 from Microcenter, so I guess rev 3 has been out for a long time, Would be unlikely anyone would see the rev 1 and 2 issues now.

Bigger issue seems to be bios not updated to support new 5000 series CPU. First couple of reviews people sent it back because couldn't boot with 5900 CPU or update bios.

Are we all talking about the same mobo here? This is a B550 board, which has only been available since June last year. I'm not sure how multiple people could have been running it for two years. I think maybe people are confusing this with the B450. It fully supports 5000 series CPU's out of the box. It also has addressable RGB support. I've had this board for about a month running a 5900x and it's been solid.

I have this board as well and it runs my AMD 5600x with no issues at all. Very stable and easy to build with.

Do you have to purchase windows or will it activate once you installed from a disk?

Using this board with 5900x with no issues and worked right out if the box. Got lucky a couple months ago at Microcenter.

Unfortunately, unless you already have an older gpu to use, you might have to wait till end of the year hopefully the gpu will be more available.

by that time the next gen GPU's should be out and those will probably be hard to find.

Yes, the price of gpu is slowly coming down, but availability will still be an issue. You could potentially get the 5600g/5700g that comes with integrated gpu but performs worst than the 5600x. Those will be out sometimes in August.

Only slightly worse but will be released at a lower price. Unless the 5600x also sees a price reduction, it might be worth it getting them
