Didn't even know Sony started selling TVs themselves again, thought they gave up.
I wish car makers would do that.

I[m in the same boat but I'm still going Costco - worth it for 7 years warranty with Costco card vs 1 year from Sony directly.

Is this better or worse than 85" Bravia?

Costco's a great deal with the warranty, but it's not in-stock at my local store, and it's OOS online for my area.Frown

Not saying you shouldn't go with Costco but that 5 yr extra warranty is from Sony and fine print says you need to bring into a service center or ship it. That makes that extra 5 yrs a lot less valuable for me since I couldn't get an 85 in tv anywhere without renting a truck.

when I bought 75inch tv from costco, had a chat with sony customer service and they confirmed that they would send the technician to the site.

When I was contemplating the 75" deal, I also got confirmation from Sony (via online chat) that they would do on-site service. Also saved my chat transcript.

Then Costco is the way to go especially if you have the Costco Visa. Too bad it's sold out in my area.
