Grabbed one. Hopefully previous owner unregistered it with Comcast!

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank notaxstate

If you prefer Netgear CM 1100 then it is $72 used like new. Most likely customer returns when it says "item in original packaging".

snagged one as well. I supposedly have 400mbs internet from Xfinity....but have only been getting about 280 mbs on speedtest.net. My ucrrent Netgear modem is capped at 340 mbs. Hopefully this will push me closer to actually getting 400 mbs

I know nothing about modems. I am on an internet plan (only 200mbs, I don't need much) and I get a free rental modem for a period of time, then after that I have to pay $15/month for modem and router (combined). I understand that I will need to get a router as well, but is this a decent modem? Or is this (https://www.costco.com/netgear-ni...64287.html) a better option?

Again, I am not a power user, just using it for a second home for streaming (netflix, etc.) as well as Ring security cameras and system.

TIA!

I was in exact same situation, I am now planning to upgrade to 800Mbps for 10$ more per month

Get the one from Costco - if something did happen to it they'll replace it even after the return period is over. I have the Arris 8200 at our primary residence and the Netgear 1100 at a vacation home and once they are set up they work very well. I bought the Arris one almost two years ago for ~$110 so it's crazy how the prices have only gone up possibly due to the pandemic.

Any feedback between very good vs good condition. Seems to be couple dollars difference.
