I don't feel ripped off and worked well enough for us to have fun and catch fish.
It's $40 and at Walmart? What are you expecting? It's not top of the line by any means but it's also not bottle of the barrel.

I've got a $150 reel on one of my $30 GX2 rods; I don't know why I would replace the rod, it's still working amazing 5 years later.
