This hp has a 10th gen and a max q? No thanks
Also, it has some advantages like having a MUX switch, Thunderbolt 4 Port etc.

Legion 5 3070 for 1350$ was readily available lmao and I believe still is? And that's Max p petty much, 115w w/ mux and is a banger. Plus it doesn't have farky shit like a freesync range of 40-60HZ reported on omen 15 discord
Competes with the G14/G15 but this has MUX switch. Thunderbolt 4. HDMI 2.1.
No mention of Freesync/Gsync though
Not the fastest or brightest screen but standard for this price range.
Not the best CPU but more than capable for gaming. Tradeoff is, you get T4 and MUX for picking Intel over AMD
No tradeoff because omen 15 Ryzen is above this price and OOS p much. Legion 5 3070 is this price and spanks this, is max p 115w w/ mux and better display

Interesting. You know the answer why bother to ask? So you think this hp is a bad deal? Because tb4 is useless to average gamer? I don't see there is any disagreement between us. This hp is a good reliable deal. Legion 5 p is good provided you can find one. Period.
Besides, tb4 does make egpu worth since now you can fully utilize that 40gbps bandwidth for input rather than before with tb3 only about 22gbps. Tb3 egpu hubs like razer core can enjoy this tb4 benefit right now. Though it's actually quite useless for me since I would buy new laptops and sold out the old ones.
it might be more useful for my i7 1165g7 laptop than these gaming laptops. I don't know why buy these things over and over again... I even have an aw amplifier... so I guess tb4 is pretty exciting for me or the egpu reddit groups. Probably tb4 is not so important at all. Also, most 3a games don't really attract me and feel so plain compared with retro rogue like games (prey 2017 is an exception or it's not too 3a). I don't know why I keep buying these PC deals... Maybe I should quit SD LOL.
Also the rep said they would not accept prices that require discount codes.

There are other convenience for the TB4 port it seems, although I question how many people actually make use of it. Just the external card box can cost upward of $400.
