If you need more than 3 fans, you don't need another controller. Also if you want to use those with something like Commander Pro, you don't need lian-li controller.

Not super familiar w/ the connections or adapters included w/ the Commander Pro but are you sure that will take the rgb connector from the unifan? The RGB connector coming off the fan isn't a standard 3 or 4 pin that would plug directly into most rgb motherboard headers or splitter.

Normally you'd need at least one unifan controller, or get an adapter cable like that found in their Lian Li ARGB cable kit, or something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-D...B0848VH1JQ

Cable management wise this fan is pretty cool but I went with corsair QL series for more RGB power. (10x corsair QL fans in total ^ ^ )

Nine unifans on the Lian Li controller? It can support up to 12 or 16 IIRC. The fans daisy chain together so if you have fans in a row you can have up to 4 connected together with only one set of cables running off them (a set being the fan cable and the RGN cable). I think the controller has four slots for fan cables to plug into it.

I have three sets of three in my PC connected to a single controller.

So basically if I needed 9 fans, the best value would be to buy 1x of the 3 pack with the controller and 6x of the individual fans for $25 each? 1 controller can control 9 fans from what I'm hearing correct?

Yes, that is correct. The software only support one controller so plan it out first. It has 4 ports.
