Lowest price this game has had ever been was $29.99 from Meijer on March 2019. How do I know this? Because I called Target and Best Buy to price match that deal and I was at the countywide job fair at that time. Since then, no further price drops.

Lowest price this game has had ever been was $29.99 from Meijer on March 2019. How do I know this? Because I called Target and Best Buy to price match that deal and I was at the countywide job fair at that time. Since then, no further price drops.

FYI this game is more like Pokémon Go compared to your classic Pokémon games. I was expecting as such and it was a total let down for me. However, it's still a cute game if you have kids or are gifting it to a child.

I picked this up during Black Friday 2020 @ Gamestop for the same price, but I think you're right that $30 has been the lowest. Gamestop had both the Pikachu and Eevee editions.

I hope your county isn't that wide or that you can at least carpool, if it came down to it.

As a side note, thanks for the info.

Edit: I wasn't trying to be funny, but I did throw a pun in there; however, I genuinely find county wide job fairs interesting. Some counties are fairly large and someone could be driving a ways every day. The largest county in my state is almost 1200 sq. miles.

If your kid is new to Pokémon and only knows Go, what's the better game? I've been considering getting her this, or Pokémon Snap, or Pokémon Sword/Shield.

This would probably be the best one for a young kid to start with. If they like it, then move onto Sword or Shield when it's on sale.

Also, this one borrows a lot of the concepts from Go, so if they like that gameplay, it's a safe choice.
