Objects can't pass through each other in the real world. You are lying.

I am sure you believe you are telling us the truth, but you are lying to yourself. You didn't put your lens on right and it fell off, that's the truth. You just can't bring yourself to admit it.

Got news for you - thousands of people use this system and they use it with exceptionally consistent results. If the flange was so flimsy that it would warp to release a lens then you would have a harder time just attaching the lens in the first place because it needs to be flush mount to mount to twist into locked position.
I have this, and it's a slick idea/design. However, make sure you have the release locked if you move position a lot, or are sitting down. It's surprisingly easy to trigger. I dropped a lens mid wedding and had to get it repaired at a later date.

This is a good tool if you carry an extra lens or two. I hate switching lenses but this makes it slightly less terrible to me.

It's a nice idea, but the product itself isn't solid enough to really trust with expensive gear. It's easy for a lens to just come off of it, especially heavier lenses. PD advertise this as being able to hold lenses of any size and weight. My 70-200 2.8 fell off after a few steps walking, even though I made sure it was attached properly beforehand.

I wouldn't even use it for small lenses at this point. It's cheaply made and such a disappointment considering I use their capture clip and straps heavily and haven't had any issues.

I don't have the CaptureLens, but I see that this bundle comes with the Capture Pro clip as well. I have been using Capture Pro clips for years for my Canon 6D and various lenses, the heaviest being a 70-200 mm F/4L IS. I generally clip it to a sturdy belt with a ProPad, but have also attached it to backpack straps on longer hikes. It's much better than a sling or neck harness, as the camera stays close to your body and won't swing as you walk. I always mount horizontally so that removing the camera requires a lift rather than a horizontal slide and have never had a mishap despite occasionally jumping and bursts of running.

I used it on my 100mm L lens all the time. NEVER had an issue that wasnt my fault. I have put it on thinking it was on correctly and almost dropped a lens but luckily i saw it before. If u check it correctly then u should be fine

I own this and I've heard of them failing or not attaching properly - mostly with heavier lenses. I wouldn't be so assured. Most people use them with small primes. That's what i do and it works well enough. But I wouldn't want to put a 70-200 on it. Most likely it doesn't actually "fail" but rather doesn't attach correctly because it's really not as well engineered as their capture clip. It's much more flimsy and doesn't have as well designed clipping mechanism.

I do love the capture clip though.

I had this for my EF mount. Very useful but I mostly made transition to RF mount now. I need PD to make it for RF mount.

Review recommends the product but does think it can be made with higher tolerances. Must hear click and red button pops up to be sure lens is secure.

I can't see myself using this for my lenses, but it looks like it's a good deal just to get the capture clip? I already use the plates on the bottom of my cameras

thanks OP. awesome deal. i have an adapter plate (PL-S-2) that is compatible with v3 only. does the capture pro clip included in this deal work with the v3 plate?

edit: to answer my question, NO. only the dual plate is compatible with all capture clips. my standard plate is only for v3.

I don't think will work for the airshows and air races I shoot using anything from a 70-200 to a 150-600. I'd whack myself in the head. That said, my daughter may be able to use it for her portrait work.
