Is the extended promo code different and can I add two more lines using new promo code to the two lines created yesterday.
The promo codes have been different every week, but the Costco rebate has a limit of 2 per TMO account. However, you can have more than one person at the same address with an account.

Costco helped me resolve the rebate issue with Wireless Advocates.

See my post about how to contact Costco via chat:

https://slickdeals.net/f/15138064-t-mobile-byod-and-activate-a-line-in-store-costco-and-get-300-costco-shop-card-per-line-max-2-lines?p=148433812#post148433812
Thanks slade, I am following that process - tried last night and probably got the worst chat agent alive so trying again today. Will post update.

Just to give more context - i was trying to work with the Wireless Advocates person but that is useless. He asked me to send screenshots and things of the rebate submission 2.5 weeks ago and STILL had not submitted a ticket. The latest is he said because of a different device purchased on a different number, that had NOTHING to do with this rebate (but is also ANOTHER rebate issue) that the system was not allowing ticket to go through. Said he needed to get the device removed via his TMO rep. I contacted TMO regarding the device he said was the issue and they verified said device is NOT associated to my account.

Morale: if its been over the 14 weeks, just escalate via chat like slade has laid out - dont try to work with Wireless Advocates!

No port is required for this deal. You can use any phone you have access to as long as it passes the TMO IMEI checker.

Is 3rd line free no longer available?
Not currently. They rolled out a new promo, 50% off new lines 3-8. So not as good a deal as "normal" 3rd line free for new customer needing exactly 3 lines

Here in bay area (Lawrence St Rd.), costco I asked a Mobile section associate and he said that the third free line was available in case I ported/added lines. I wonder if he was lying to me,

I decided not to port my ATT lines as he seemed least interested and sounded like a true a-hole. Also, there was a $7/SIM free

How does the third line free work ?

I think the kiosk rep is just used to there always being a 3rd line free, as that is the case 90% of the time--unless they are running a free line, BOGO lines, or 50% off line promo period--in which case the free 3rd line is replaced with the promo. They actually have the 50% off 3rd line built into the plan pricing calculator (click plans on T-MO homepage)

Pricing for 5 lines with AutoPay, with 3rd, 4th & 5th line 50% off.
($150/mo.)
Taxes & fees included.

You are right,...ended up converting today as the 3rd line free promo ended on 23rd. it was indeed 50% off third line and that had to be Magenta max so I skipped it.

Signed up for magenta max plan for 2 lines with 600 back in up-to 14 weeks . A very helpful rep told me that generally the card shows up in 90 odd days after which I can downgrade my plan to a different one in case I desired to do so. Also, they said that if the third line free promo comes back they can add it for me. Can they? (without me signing up for additional 2 lines)

Oh boy, sounds like a mess. First of all no Magenta MAX is needed for any rebates at this time on new lines They previously had an additional $200 (on top of the Costco BYOD $300) if you ported in a number and signed up for Max. Right now the $200 is gone, but there is a $150 on top of the $300 Costco BYOD that is available, but no need for Max vs. Magenta. . .the reason these stackable deals are possible is because the $300 BYOD is through Costco (Wireless Advocates). . .and the now $150 stackable if you port in # is straight from TMO.

If you did port in from another network, then try submitting for that $150 per line switch bonus. . .by going to, and entering the promo code below, along with pertinent phone #, to:

EDIT: as for them saying they can add 3rd line free at a later date, don't count on it. They can only do that in the first 14 or 30 days, forget which. And I think this promo will go to Labor Day. The only other time they can add a 3rd line free much later is the rare occasion that they offer all Magenta customers a free line. . .and that should not be considered the same thing as "adding the 3rd line free later if it becomes active" as you would then lose out on an otherwise free 4th line.

Holy shit, I was clearly told that in order to get the $300 rebate the only eligible plan was Magenta max ($70/line). Were there other cheaper eligible plans ?

As for the port, I did port from a different provider and just submitted the rebates. Keeping my fingers crossed that the rebate goes through.

YuuuP. Anyways, best 1st thing to do short term is register for the $150 rebates X2 as well, listed on my previous post.

Lol. . .wondering if your clueless rep is getting "Max 2 lines" for $300 BYOD rebate confused with "Max plan, 2 lines needed" Lol. . .

Also, be warned, many people are saying they are only getting one $300 rebate (even though 2 lines done). . .read the relevant threads here

Yes, I did that already.
Is there a way I can have costco change my plan to another eligible plan with lower monthly ..esp. since the associate provided false information ?

Oh, nice. As for changing from Max to Magenta, first read through that rebate page they gave you to double check if there is a Max requirement (I don't think there is). If all is ok, I would then go to T-Force (T-mobile chat on FB and Twitter) and ask them such, and if all above checks out then have them downgrade to Magenta. Going through the "Costco" kiosk for anything more than signing up seems fruitless for you (and many others) as they are commission based reps (and tend to lie--some at least--if is in their favor)

Yes, just contact T-force (TMO messenger on FB and Twitter). The sooner the better, and ask them to verify if your rebates will stay intact. I prefer T-Force messenger over calling in, as you have a record of the chat session. . .
