update, ordered three cards. all cards came within three minutes. have since then applied all three to amazon account balance. have already gotten confirmation that all three cards have been applied to my account.
Needed to spend $500 to wrap up a credit card promo, so this was a nice money maker for me.

Order went pending for 2 hours and then cancelled. Trying a different card but pending again. I'm guessing another cancellation since it's not getting instant approved. Any tips?

That doesnt seem super useful. If you have an Amazon credit card, you already get 5%, so you are getting a little over 5% here.

With these virtual Visa/MC gift cards, if the item you try to purchase online exceeds the remaining balance left on the card (and the online merchant doesn't allow you to split payments), you're basically SOL, right?

You can't use the card for that transaction, correct?

you can squeeze the last dollar amount to amazon. If your purchase exceeds 250 yea then would be a problem.
