update, ordered three cards. all cards came within three minutes. have since then applied all three to amazon account balance. have already gotten confirmation that all three cards have been applied to my account.
Needed to spend $500 to wrap up a credit card promo, so this was a nice money maker for me.

Another data point:
My order of 3x250 cards is still pending after 3 hours and the orders page shows expected delivery tomorrow (july 3rd). My card doesnt have a temp auth so something might have gone wrong here.

Load $250, get it right away and use it right away to pay my electric bill ($1.65 fee) so that I do not have to deal with the card balance later

I ordered a short while ago and got two cards in about 5 minutes (10 tops). Guess I got lucky.

Also, don't go for the annoying "YAY!" digital gift card. It's loud and obnoxious.

Not sure if you can use to directly buy Target gift cards. But if added to Amazon balance can purchase Target gift cards there.

One of the reasons of getting banned is too many returns, so yeah there is that. And any adjustment or refund you get counts in their system. It is well documented if you search on reddit.

Amazon closed my account because of a high gift card balance [milesperday.com]

There are additional comments below the blog with people chiming in same happened to them. Maybe some are fraud, but it's impossible to know. One person says it was resolved for them by contacting Bezos' email.

My account was restored by the account team. It required emailing Jeff Bezos and sending all proof of gift card ownership + anyone having sent gift cards to confirm they were to be used on this account. Took in all about 2 weeks, but got my account restored. It was a lot of work, but glad this is over! i can't say I will keep a large balance ever again!

If it was fraud it wouldn't have been resolved this way. But I suppose they could all be lying. No way to know though.

I assume I could and last year I did an amex gift card deal then used that virtual card to do a visa gift card deal. lol.
