My research indicates the EGO Power + Nexus Escape 150W Power Station is $20 lower (20% savings) than the next best available price from a reputable merchant with prices starting from $99 at the time of this posting.
I have heard great things about Ego chainsaws so this seems like a good deal. As an alternative I bought the Hart 40v saw at Walmart a couple months back and have cut about five cords of wood with it. I live at 8700 feet and use wood for heat. I am very happy with the Hart. I also sharpen my own blades which is a skill I recommend chainsaw owners develop. It's 17 miles into town so doing things on my own is important.

It seems like these Ego batteries are WAY more expensive than any other line of tools. Can someone explain why that is?
Are you comparing to Greenworks 80V?(also at one time branded as Kobalt 80V with different keying). Or Echo 56V? Or any other large battery packs (you can tell by the size and weight of these forms). -- or do you just mean things like DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Ryobi 18/20V? Even those can get pretty expensive in the larger sizes.
But, yes, it's common to be able to find a "bare tool" deal and then you find out a battery costs 2x more than the "deal" you just scored on the tool. So essentially, yes, they are expensive batteries. But if you compare "per-Watt-hour" (not Amp-hour) ratings, you will find that the cost is usually similar.
I have the entire ego line (home depot clearance last year) and I absolutely LOVE all their products.
5x7.5ah batteries, battery "generator" (giant inverter that manages 4 batteries at once), every yard tool + mower.. they're built to last.
Sorry, I should have been more clear with my comment, I'm skeptical of buying from the acme site in general, given they can't state the details accurately, ego tools on the other hand are great!
got my ego deal alert a day late but get back to me when the EGO POWER+ 650-CFM 56-Volt 180-MPH Brushless Handheld Cordless Electric Leaf Blower 5 Ah(Battery & Charger Included) goes on sale. $300 is too much but I have leaf jobs coming up. And I can use the battery in my Ego mower.
that said I wouldn't pass up a smaller Ego blower but need more than $20 off. The power to weight is damn good on small one.

The Ego power inverter is only 150W not 1500W
Edit: OP corrected post
Not for me, available for both store pickup and shipping at $319.

I saw that, but the acme site claims it's 1500 watts, that alone would make me skeptical of buying anything from them.

Electric chainsaws don't give you nearly as much zombie killing Torque vs gas powered.
