Can you expand upon that? Was considering grabbing this if I could get it at this price. I borrow my neighbors 1800 PSI electric one often and I like it, so I'm curious if there's something about this particular model that makes it garbage.
can also verify this. I narrowed down the root cause to be the rubber gaskets they use to seal each inter connects. The first time use rip the rubber gasket. Second time use, literally no seal. It's difficult to find the exact size, but when you do the whole machine works great.
And no, i did not go through their warranty.
Trusting their process to fix the root cause would most likely waste my time.
There are 100's of different models out there. He has no ability to test all of them. lol
If you spend THREE times as much for one tool as another, there's a pretty good chance it's going to perform better.
Sun Joe makes pressure washers that cost closer to that $225 CAT, that probably would've had better test results.
I have the SPX 3500 (At full price...urgh). I got it because of the induction motor (the same thing in this machine), which lets it shut down whenever you dont press the handle. The low GPM means that although it is high pressure, it is a small nozzle area...youre going to be taking a while to clean a whole deck.
However, at the end of the day, I cannot give it to sunjoe in terms of their longevity...they just seem to break alot.
I have owned three sunjoe items...a pressure washer, the dethatcher/scarifier, and the weird italian soft hose. All three have broken within the first year of use. They all got replaced under warranty, except the hose (which I had in storage and didnt use until this year...broke within two days). The dethatcher would only turn on for a half a second and then turn off. The pressure washer couldnt use the soap dispenser anymore.
The good part is that their warranty service is friendly and relatively quick...they send a prepaid label, but hopefully you kept the original box to ship it back!!

I'm wondering too. I recently bought a different model sun joe from prime day sales. I would think people might store them in their freezing garage during winter which is bad for hoses/ garden faucet or spigot/ and anything with rubber gaskets getting damaged from water expansion when freezing. I'm a new homeowner and learned this from a hose that I left with water on the garden faucet. I'm lucky the garden faucet's rubber gaskets didn't break, but the water hose did. So far no problems for my unit *knock on wood*
A lot of people saying it's trash, I see SunJoe on sale frequently at BJ's as well, but I've always stayed away... can other ppl recommend something that is better then?
I can't speak for this model, but I have the sun joe spx3000 and it's awesome. I've had it for 3 years with no issues. Great pressure.

Re: sun joe 2000 psi electric power washer- Bought this about 6 months ago from Walmart. One of the wheels popped off and cannot be re-attached- plastic wheel fitting cracked. Like many others here, it leaks after several uses and the pressure hose kinks easily. Had a Ryobi electric power washer previously which last several years and may go back to that.
I had a $130 sun joe for a few years. Used it 1-2x a year then one day it wouldn't turn on. For this price it's probably worth it. It was my first pressure washer and did get things clean but for harder items like deck or siding you had to be an inch or 2 from it which took a lot of time. Even at this price I'm shopping for a different brand replacement.
For the price it's fine. 2 years of repeated use for pretty much everything. The motor started to weirdly cycle when you squeeze the handle. Sometimes when you hold the handle you have to wait or squeeze the handle multiple times and hold before the pressure sort of "kicks in". That could be from an internal leak as it sort of primes itself, overcoming the leak. The pressure is good, but I can tolerate washing my feet with it and my skin does not peel off...
I'm not sure how much longer it will last. I thought it would die last year, but it keeps on plugging away. I got my money's worth out of it. Next year I'll probably buy the highest pressure electric I can find or just switch back to a gas.
I have one of these and a gas pressure washer. These electric units are all a joke. They have low pressure but more importantly very low GPM ratings, meaning it takes forever to try and clean things as there is so little water coming out of the wand.
Now my electric one just sits in the corner of the garage gathering dust. I even use the gas one to wash the car with because it's so much faster and more effective.

I use mine mostly to wash my truck/Jeep/cars/motorcycle … been using it for over a year … works fine for washing cars
I have other more powerful gas pressure washers when I need to power up
