Has SVS quality taken a hit in the last couple of year? Seems like more and more are pushing HSU (Subs)

I went down the rabbit hole of home theater systems ever since the Memorial Day sale on Klipsch Reference Premier speakers. At first I was looking forward to getting a PB-2000 Pro, then I thought it would just be better to go with HSU. Then I decided, screw it, I'll get the PB16 Ultra. But now, NOW I know what I really want is the Power Sound Audio S3612. I just don't know if PSA has sales like SVS does.

the opposite. Hsu has not innovated anything in years. and I have a VTF3 Mk5 and PB-2000.
