I think it's worth $200 for this chair. It has the portability that I was looking for, instead of the other playseat which is full build chair. It can be folded up, with the steering wheel mounted.
If you are in the market for racing driving games, a few things to consider:
1. This set does not have the extension for the gear shift if your wheel set has one. You will need to figure out how to add that on.
2. Many racing games does not support steering wheel full. It means that it does not translate what the steer wheel/pedal well into the game and would cause a lot of underated/oversteer/spin off.
3. If playing on PC, make sure you have the right graphic card to support the game.
For me, I think my setup was good enough to play just a few titles and get something out of it. And I can easily bring it out, after storing, to play just a few games.
One point to share is I cracked my tailbone in this thing the first day I had it. DO NOT UNDO ANY OF THE STRAPS WHILE IN THE SEAT.
I had a velcro strap rubbing so I went to pull it out of the way and it completely collapsed. Completely my fault and not the chairs but it's something I warn new owners about since it took about 7 months for my tailbone to stop hurting.

That being said: Any solid recommendations on something like this with a good extension for a shifter? I'm considering one of these really soon because my back is so sore after a long race in just an office chair. :-\
Edit 2: The video on the page actually shows a spot for a shifter. Does anyone that owns it know if that comes with it or is that an extension to buy?

Looks like it works with the all playseats, challenge included.
As far as game compatibility, that's all on your wheel. The chair is, like, just a chair. It's as XBox/PS compatible as a recliner.

I have this chair with a shifter i bought on eBay. The link below is for left handed shifter placement, the seller also makes right handed shifters so you can inquire for his next batch. Its great because i can place it next to my right thigh /hip to get a better placement vs using the official playseat shifter mount adapter that places it to the right of the wheel.

For me it is awesome. 5'10, 180 lbs. The fact that it folds pretty flat even with the wheel and pedals still attached is a must have as my wife wouldn't tolerate something sitting in front of the TV 24/7.
If you are into 3D printing there are a ton of available things to add to it on Thingiverse. Mine has two bass-shakers on the back and a shifter on the right. Plus the pedals are only held in place with a velcro strap so I printed a few clips that keep the pedals very stationary. Oh, and a cup holder Printing a different style of shifter mount as we speak actually.
What do you think of the bass shakers? Do they add alot to the experience?
