Amazon via the Scott's store has the Turf Builder EdgeGuard DLX Broadcast spreader for $43.50 ($58.00 - 25% coupon on page). This is the lowest price I've seen in some time for the DLX model. Free shipping with Prime.

This or the Elite for $27 more? Seems like just the dual rotors on Elite is the main difference.

These are garbage and only last a few years. Every component is plastic and wears out or breaks. Just spend the extra and get a professional grade that will last forever

I'm not that poster, but agree that this is garbage. I have one and will be putting it on FB marketplace for $10 or $15 shortly. Your fertiziler/weed&feed/granules get stuck in the plastic hollow wheels and can burn out certain spots. The wheels get stuck a lot too as your product clumps up there. It's just a super chintzy plastic product.

If you want to buy new, the Echo at HD is good: https://www.homedepot.com/p/ECHO-...311319950? There are reports that it will not spin the last few ounces of material, so people do a ziptie mod to "sweep" the last bit out.

I'm in the market as well for a new spreader and I'm probably going to go used on FB marketplace. Good brands to look for are Lesco, Earthway, Chapin, Global Industrial, etc. Lescos are usually too expensive (the stainless steel versions are especially so), but there are solid deals on used Earthways and Globals. Just make sure it has pneumatic tires, adjustable spread, etc. And watch out for certain models that are salt only (no adjustable spread settings). I'm seeing a few Earthways for under $50 in my area and they are 1000x better than Scotts.

Almost bought one of these last year till I read dozens of reviews with pictures about how it destroyed lawns. These things are a joke for a supposed "brand name" company. My ECHO spreader is a beast.
