Farm and fleet has this 20v max Inflator on sale for $89. Was about to buy a couple cans of fix a flat to air up our low camper tire on the road and grabbed this instead to add to my Dewalt collection. Just screw on the valve, turn the dial to the selected PSI and hit the start button. I topped up all 4 tires in about 4 mins.

Tempting. $10 cheaper than I normally see it. Too bad farm and fleet charges shipping, which kills this deal.

How good is this compared to other brands/models? I'm heavy in DeWalt so it's tempting since I've been needing a portable pumps for car tires and such.

I purchased this at normal price because I am all-in on the 20v DeWalt lineup. Works great. I have used it for all types of tires and inflatables.

I'm in the same boat. I've resisted jumping into the Ryobi inflators because I currently am solely in the Dewalt system, and I'm dubious about adding another line to my stuff. But if this thing is not that great... I might as well get the not-so-great Ryobi inflator and save a couple bucks. For me, the Dewalt would have to be reliable, and have a decent CFM for inflating auto tires. I don't want to sit around waiting 20 minutes for a flat tire to inflate.

Why is it not so great?

Damn, just bought it from Amazon a month ago (thinking it never goes on deal). It's great, it replaced a wirecutter recommended inflator I was getting annoyed with. No more pulling DC from my car (battery is a big plus). Faster, nice quick dial, and more accurate.

I have Dewalt, Milwaukee M12, and Ryobi. I tried the cheaper Ryobi inflator and returned it. The Dewalt one is the best combo tire inflation/high volume air inflator I believe. I like the M12 for solely inflating tires.

If I were to go on a trip the Dewalt one is what I would take hands down. With its multi-purpose inflating options and multiple power source options, it is the most versatile.

Can only share my limited experience. It is the best I have owned and I have owned a few. I inflate a lot of tires more than passenger tires like trailer and high pressure truck tires. Love the fact that you can set the PSI and it goes to it and stops and it seems to be pretty accurate when I double check with a pressure gage.

My father in law has a similar Ryobi. It may have been a fluke but we went to inflate a big farm tractor tire and his overheated but mine did it like a champ.

The Dewalt tire inflator is one of the best, according to Project Farm. Here's a link to his video.

I agree. My Ryobi broke after only 5 uses. I currently own the Dewalt & Milwaukee and have had zero problems.

I'm not saying it's not the best thing since sliced bread... I have no experience with it. I'm simply saying more due dilligence is required before I throw a hundy on an inflator. I currently use a 10 gal. compressor and it can be a PITA lugging that thing around.
