More break away/fastening torque than the bare tool Ryobi HP Impact and includes a 4ah battery and charger. This is a no brainer if you are in the market for a 1/2" Wrench that will handle most jobs. Keep in mind the tool is Octane but the 4ah is not. TU

It was $69 (blemished or refurbished, can't remember) bare tool at Direct tools during the Christmas deals in 2020.

The 69 was blemished at DTO, not refurbished. I bought it but haven't used it yet (nor do I own half inch impact sockets or a half to 3/8 adapter). Had gone in to pickup the planer and saw it and grabbed it. Intended to use for lags in raised deer stands but haven't built any in awhile

I got this last week for $159. It's got some power, used it for taking off stubborn 3 point bolts 33mm from the tractor with it. Immovable with pipe wrenches but after about a minute with this it got them off. Nearly needed the high torque but I figured this will work 99.9% of the time for me, wafer wheel will take care of the other .1% if I need to.

One note, the battery seemed last gen, it's not Bluetooth like some of my other ones. Plenty of power though.

Not a promoter for things most of the time but a tool that everyone should have is the Ridgid Inflator, go to HD and look it up. Invaluable if you have multiple vehicles, recreation vehicles and lawn mowers/tractors. Well worth the price. Keep a tire plug kit with it and your golden. I've had it for 3 months and I use it all the time, 7 vehicles, 3 ATVs, 2 lawn mowers and a tractor.

Be aware this wrench has the longest back-to-forth length 7.7" and may have problem to fit into some small spaces such as behind brake caliper bolts, or suspensions. For reference, similar mid-torque Red, Yellow and Green brand's lengths are 6" to 6.9".

I picked one of these up last year and it has been great. I've used it for some suspension work on my truck, and for lug nuts on our vehicles. The battery lasts a long time.

You definitely can't go wrong with the LSA warranty. Basically buy once and never worry about the tool/battery/charger for as long as Ridgid is around.

Do you mean a more powerful battery with 21700 battery cells?

Ridgis's "Max Output" series of batteries supposedly offers greater power and runtime for any given capacity vs. their regular 18V batteries like that comes with this kit. They have up to 4 Ah models out now (see https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../315228425), but somewhere I read they are going to release up to 8 Ah versions at some point.

EDIT: Here's some more info about the "Max Output" series:
