Interestingly, Cinemark has indicated that every auditorium will have its own MERV13 filtration, but AMC has not specifically said this is the case for them. They're a lot more nebulous about their filtration technology.

Fresh, outdoor air is constantly circulated in our theatres by opening HVAC dampers, running supply fans and by running exhaust fans 24/7. Our filtration systems have also been upgraded beyond the industry standard of MERV 8 to MERV 13 filters. MERV 13 filters capture the tiniest of droplets, which could contain the COVID-19 virus, whereas the industry standard MERV 8 filter does not.

In an email they sent last year, they said they would upgrade the filters "wherever possible," but then never followed up or confirmed (despite when asked) which locations received upgraded filters.
Cinemark, on the other hand, clearly stated that every auditorium is going to have their new filtration system.
