My 2nd post. Please be easy on me on this one. I understand the Brand battle and everything but when comparing the features and the price point I think is a great deal. Hope it helps someone!

This is only $200 off of normal price on a older gen series. This TV was replaced by the U7G series. Going to need more than $200 off previous year model to make this a decent deal. Sorry, not trying to be hard on you. Keep looking!
Like others said, it's going to take more than a $200 discount for people to bite, given that new models are already available. However, for what it's worth, it's a great TV. I have the 65" in the living room, and the kids use it daily. No complaints so far. Just apply the picture settings recommended by Rtings and you're good to go.
You can negotiate at PC Richards. Back in 2006 a 26" sony bravia was selling for $1100 . They were willing to lower the price to 850 but i said i wanted $725 because that's what the previous years gray model was selling for at B and H. Same tv just grey not black. They wouldn't sell the new model for $725. So i drove to Manhattan and got it. Still use it in the basement.

EDIT: Oh well... U6G prices were jacked 7/12/21; 75" now $1150.
